Pregnancy and childbirth create a myriad of hormonal changes. Special Addition’s Out of the Blue: Emotional Self Care for Parents Class will help you understand these hormonal changes and their impacts on your emotional health during this important time in your life. Learn what to expect and the methods for managing these emotional changes.
Out of the Blue: Emotional Self Care Class for Parents is a class designed for anyone concerned about their current or future mental health during and after pregnancy. This is not a therapy class. It will help inform you about normal emotional changes during pregnancy, “baby blues” vs. postpartum depression, and proactive strategies for managing common mental health issues. Included is information on where to gain further support. Participants will not be asked to share any personal information during the class.

Part 2 of 2: Postpartum 1:15 – 3:15PM
About the classes:
Each class is very informal in nature and is intended for a maximum class size of 6 couples. These classes are not intended as psychological therapy but rather to provide information on general issues, self help strategies and sign posting for where people can get psychological support if needed.
