Sign, Say & Play® Class
Sign, Say & Play® Class teaches babies to use baby sign language to communicate their needs.
Sign, Say & Play® Class. This class helps babies develop communication skills earlier than the development of spoken language. It increases bonding between adult and child and helps reduce babies’ frustration in being unable to express their needs. Are they hungry, are they too cold or too warm, do they need a diaper change, or do they just need a hug? Studies also show that babies who learn to use baby signing actually speak earlier, have a larger vocabulary, and a +12 point IQ advantage over peers.
BeeBo™ the Baby Signs® Bear helps babies learn new signs along with fun songs and activities to engage them each week. This 6-week class is based on a new theme weekly with each week and theme building upon the previous week. Based upon the program developed by Dr. Linda Acredolo and Dr. Susan Goodwyn, take-home materials, CD’s, DVD’s and other educational materials are provided to parents at each session. Not only will parents and babies learn during each 45 minute session, but the take-home materials extend that session and build confidence by learning this method for communicating. A fun class for learning a new skill and also engaging with other moms, dads, and babies!
